Christmas

Well Christmas is officially over, kind of sad. I just can't believe how quickly it came and went, but was tons of fun! I love Christmas! :) My parents and Santa gave me some pretty awesome stuff, like a purse made out of seatbelts and a military colored watch (which is my current favs to wear right now)!
Tomorrow we are heading out to Kansas to see my older sister, her husband, and her two little boys. About a 10 hour drive... planning on staying up late tonight and sleeping in the car. Good times!! :)

PUGS!!!

So anyone who knows me knows that I love pugs and very much want one in the near future. Well, while home I decided to stop by a pet shop (it's in our mall here). Well, it was my lucky day because they had a 9 1/2 week old pug puppy. I got the privilege of holding her, my problem was I didn't want to put her down. I love pugs!!!!!

Being Home

Got home last Monday night and it took 10 hours to drive home, versus the normal 7. This is due to the fact that I drove through a Blizzard in Indiana... BOOO!!!
But at least I made it and proceeded to surprise my mother since I came home earlier than she thought I was going to be home. When coming home, I did decide to bring my own coffee mug with me because it is so awesome.
The button picture is for you Stephanie!! :)
My parents got my a cake for finishing my masters and it came with a penguin ring... :)

Christmas Party

Today, the women of the athletics department put on a Christmas party for all the women at the University. It was great! Although, it did seem as if it took loner to set up than the actual party lasted. The theme was an Old Fashion Christmas and it was a huge success! A couple of the basketball coaches made a mantel that was fantastic!!

Shooting Baskets

A few weeks back, Campbellsville University men's and women's basketball teams played against Shawnee State. During the games, they had contests for prizes and a chance to win $10,000. In order to win the $10,000 you had to make four baskets, layup, free throw, 3-pointer, and half-court shot all within 25 seconds. Another friend of mine had boughten a few tickets and if her ticket got picked to be a shooter for the $10,000, I was to be her shooter (haha, I know). Well, lucky us, her ticket got drawn and during half time of the men's game, I got to try and make 4 baskets..... in front of everyone. There was also one other shooter, but I had to go first. I only made two of the four shots and our SID got pictures of the experience. Most people told me that I should just stick to running... which is funny because I actually used to play basketball back in the day and I was actually not terrible. Oh well, I still won free ice cream to Baskin Robbins and some golf balls.

Curling My Hair

My girlfriend (Stephanie) decided to curl my hair the other day with hot rollers. I don't think I have had hot rollers in my hair since I was like 10 years old. This is the series of pictures that went with my curling experience. I actually liked it, although my friend decided to tell everyone so they all made comments on my hair, which I didn't like because it meant they were paying attention to me. haha

My Christmas Tree

Decided that since I am going to be here until the middle of December, that I wanted a tree. So I bought a tree from walmart, black, that was prelit, added some red lights and some red and while ornaments. It is my Campbellsville Tree, since our school colors are maroon, white, and black and it slightly resembles that. It also has some presents under it already and it looks fantastic. I love my new tree!!! Also, since it isn't real, I can continue to use it year after year. I am very excited for my new tree!! Yeah to Christmas being 23 days away!!
Happy Holidays!

Greyhound

Went to pick up my little sister from the Greyhound bus station last night. Her bus got in around midnight - which made me a little nervous. I figured I should take something with me for protection purposes, you know just in case. I do not own any sort of mace, so as an alternative I took a bottle of body spray. (hah) I figured if I needed to, I can just spray that in someone's eyes and run and I would be okay! (hah)Truth be told, I ended up not needing it and felt very safe waiting for my sisters bus to come in when there was a police officer there. So I picked her up no problems, other than the fact that we got home around 2 am this morning and I am dead beat tired today. Looks like it is going to be an early night for me tonight!! Well, here is to the last two weeks of the students' classes!!!!!

Crafting

Today, I went with the Lewis' and went and saw part I of the new Harry Potter movie. It was awesome and I cannot wait until part II already! Afterwards, My girlfriend and I played craft time with glitter and glue. This is what our table looked like in the middle of it. I currently have glitter all over; my face, my clothes, my hair, my hands, etc. I love glitter though so it doesn't really matter!! GLITTER!!!! :)

My New Table

This is the awesome retro/50's table I got at the awesome Peddlers Mall and few weeks back. It was such an awesome steal!! And it is yellow, which is a complete bonus! Went in there to find buttons with a friend, and came out with my first big person purchase which I plan to keep forever! Had to call someone with a truck to help us get it to my apartment but it looks totally great in my apartment! Currently: fixing a puzzle on it :)

Cross Country ending

Well, my first cross country season as the head coach is officially over. Yesterday was NAIA Nationals in Vancouver, WA, although I didn't have any one who qualified this year. Overall though, I feel it was a pretty good season and a great team! It definitely felt like the season just flew by though, which was kind of expected, only because that happens when your having fun. Both the men and the women's team place third in the conference, which I am very happy about. Now, I just have to figure out what to do with all my spare time now that I spent on cross country. Track practice doesn't even start until the 19th of January. Well, Yeah to good first season and for many more to come!! :)

My First Triathlon

Just finished my first triathlon ever!!!! I am still in shock that I actually completed the whole thing because that was definitely hard. It was a 800 meter swim, a 18.5 mile bike, and a 4 mile run. I am starting to feel sore and stiff, and not really looking forward to how I am going to feel tomorrow but I am so proud of my friends and I for completing it!!! Can't wait to sign up for the next one! :)
