Technological Difficulties

This past weekend turned out to be a bad one for me, technology wise. On Friday, my internet at home stopped working. I thought maybe it was just a fluke. However, Saturday and Sunday proved me wrong when my internet was still not working. Oh NO :/
Sunday I ended up going into my office to work on some stuff for cross country. Then, on Monday afternoon, my work computer stopped working. It turns out there is something wrong with my motherboard (?) and they had to take my entire computer. So at this point, I have no work computer and no internet at home. Luckily, I exchanged our modem and got our internet up and running at home! (whew) Not sure when I am getting my work computer back though :(
Also, apparently our heat isn't working in our apartment, which is okay for now since its still fairly warm out. But we really need to get that fixed. And, our shower is apparently leaking into the ceiling in our kitchen (gross), so hopefully our landlord comes out and fixes that asap!
It was just a rough case of the Mondays yesterday, looking to turning things around! :)

Greater Louisville Classic

This past weekend (10.1.11), the men's and women's cross country teams raced at the Greater Louisville Classic, the biggest XC meet we will race in. This race had 3 men's races, 3 women's races, 4 high school races, and 2 middle school races. It started with the Gold race at 9:30am. There were NCAA Division I, II, and III schools there along with NAIA and NJCAA schools. The weather was fantastic for running, which led to great performances. Both my men and women placed 12th as a team overall. The guys had 35 teams in their race and the girls had 32 teams; we were in the Silver race. As for individual performances, we had numerous amounts of PR's that day, with many being lifetime PR's. I had a freshmen female who ran under 22 minutes for a 5K for the first time ever! I also had a male runner go under 27 minutes for the 8K! We also had most of the athletes do great! It was defiantly a great day for racing!
Next week (10.7.11) we will head up to Portsmouth, OH for the Shawnee State Invitational where we will race against half of our Mid-South Conference competitors. Go Tigers!

"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."
