On Saturday, the men and women cross country teams had their first race of the season. The girls raced a 5k and the men a 8k. We were up in Franklin, IN where the heat was pushing 95 plus degrees by the time we left. It was hot and the ground was very hard, but the runners raced on through. The girls finished in 4th place and the men and 7th. We only raced against one other NAIA school with the rest being NCAA division I, II, and III. It was a very competitive field. I am happy with the performances from the first meet. Next Weekend, we are headed to Ohio on Friday night where everyone will race a 5K. Go Tigers!!
